Relief Workers
Would you like a flexible, paid role that makes a real difference to people when they need it most?
We are recruiting for Relief Workers. These roles don’t have fixed hours – you can work when it’s convenient to you and get paid over £12 an hour for doing so! We are looking for workers who have the skills to work in one or more of our core services.
We provide support for people who need help with practical things following discharge from hospital, or if they have been unwell. This may be things like doing a little shopping or light housework, taking the time to chat to people and make sure they are comfortable and having access to the support they need to be able to stay safely at home and in touch with their community.
We also provide support for people who are struggling with their wellbeing. Through encouraging them and unblocking problems we encourage and enable people to achieve the things they need and want to do.
Our Navigators provide information, advice, and guidance, opening doors and ensuring people have the right access to the right services at the right time.
If you are an empathetic and supportive person, who is good at listening and are experienced in making a positive difference to people’s lives, we are keen to hear from you. If you would like to apply please send a CV and a covering statement explaining why you wish to be considered to recruitment@care-network.org.uk. We can then arrange an informal telephone chat about the role.
