Volunteer

Volunteers are at the heart of Care Network Cambridgeshire.

What’s it like to volunteer with us? Hear what our volunteers have to say

“One thing I have really appreciated is the ongoing support I’ve been getting from Care Network, it’s just great. You can phone, email, text, it’s quite personal and that’s appreciated by me and the other volunteers… They’re there for you if you need them… If you’re not sure, can I deal with this? They’re always there for consultation” – Volunteer

Our volunteer program starts with getting in touch to see if we have the right role for you. If you would like to learn more or start the process to become a volunteer, please contact us at volunteering@care-network.org.uk or at 01954 211919.  There are detailed role descriptions for all our volunteer roles below.  You can complete and submit your volunteer application online,  the form can be found here.

You can read our latest Newsletter for Volunteers CLICK HERE

Once you have submitted an application, you will be contacted by our Volunteering Coordinator to have a chat about your interests and skills. If Care Network is a match for you, the next step will be to attend our next induction and training day for new volunteers. During this day of training you will learn helpful information and cover some practical exercises to support you in your new volunteer role. All volunteers must complete an application form, provide references, attend training and undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Care Network volunteers are connected with their local coordinators after training and receive on-going support through regular chats with their coordinator. Reimbursement of volunteer related expenses is offered to all Care Network volunteers.
