The National Lottery Community Fund awards Care Network £20,000!
A huge THANK YOU from us all to National Lottery players for making this possible
We are thrilled to share that The National Lottery Community Fund has awarded £20,000 to help us deliver our vital Wellbeing service across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough!
Where your money goes
Our network of local volunteers are supported by trained district coordinators to provide free practical and emotional support in the home.
We help adults connect with communities and to access other opportunities and support through working with other Care Network teams.
Our network of local volunteers are able to provide transport to people to help get them out and about, to the shops, to groups to socialise with others and connect to their local community.
No matter what you give, we make every penny count. 85p of every £1 donated goes directly to people who need help improving confidence and connection.
The difference we make
It was great to get all that info sent to us. We are working our way through it. Mum has had contact with a social worker and we have sorted some groups for her to go to.
Everyone is so busy these days. I got just what I asked for and more. It was great and I think I’m doing as well as can be.
We are so looking forward to trying some out and certainly we feel less ‘loaded’ and happier that there are safe ways for helping us to socialise.
And I was ready to give up really as I missed my wife so much. Thank you for the lovely service you provide. I don’t like to go out, so it was nice to talk to someone.
I’m so grateful for the Community Car Scheme. Having a friendly volunteer pick me up, help me get in and out of the car, and make sure I arrive safely takes away so much stress, it’s an outstanding local service.
Our entire family extends our thanks for all you have done.
