Working together to make a difference

Partnership is at the heart of how we work. The challenges people and communities face rarely exist in isolation, and no single organisation can provide all the support they may need.

By bringing together people, communities, voluntary organisations, public services, expertise and local knowledge, we can respond earlier, strengthen local networks and create better-connected support. Working together helps people remain independent, improves wellbeing, reduces isolation and helps prevent problems from reaching crisis point.

Ways to partner with us

Corporate support
Financial contributions and corporate partnerships can directly support our work and help us reach more people and communities across Cambridgeshire.

Employee volunteering
Give your employees the opportunity to use their time and skills to support local people, projects and communities while making a meaningful difference close to home.

Trusts and Foundations
Funding from Trusts and Foundations enables us to sustain, develop and expand our work in response to the changing needs of people and communities across the county.

Strategic partnerships
Work with us to develop and deliver programmes that respond to local needs, improve wellbeing and independence, strengthen communities and create more joined-up support.

Partnership in action: The Voluntary Sector Alliance

One example of what partnership can achieve is the Voluntary Sector Alliance, bringing together Care Network Cambridgeshire, Caring Together and Age UK Cambridgeshire & Peterborough.

Created as the first partnership of its kind in the area, the Alliance combines the expertise of three established local charities to provide a coordinated route into voluntary and community support. Working alongside health professionals, the partnership helps people leave hospital safely, supports their independence and helps prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and readmissions.

The Alliance demonstrates the difference that can be made when voluntary, community and health organisations combine their expertise and work together around the needs of the individual.

Partnership with measurable impact

Through its hospital discharge work, Care Network manages a discharge support budget on behalf of the Voluntary Sector Alliance, enabling essential items and practical support to be put in place quickly so people can return home safely.

In 2024/25, this support helped 337 people and was estimated to have saved the NHS 1,262 hospital bed days — equivalent to around £567,450.

That is partnership delivering real, measurable impact for individuals and the wider health and social care system.
