Singing and bringing people together

7th May 2015

This group started as an offshoot from an established community group, where people in a South Cambridgeshire village get together to talk about what social activities they want to do together.

The group leader has a friend who happens to be a highly respected choir director and music teacher, recently retired from directing a choir at Ely Catherdral, who was happy to lead these community singers.  We helped them find a venue and funding to sustain it. The members pay £4 per session and have enjoyed the positive benefits that singing together brings. They also provided entertainment at a Christmas intergenerational event.

They now have over 20 members and enjoying weekly sessions followed by tea and coffee.
